Terms & Conditions

By ordering from Boateng's Bakery, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

cakes & treats

After receiving your invoice or confirmation of your order, make sure to review it as it will contain the date, the dessert flavours, fillings, size, design theme/style, and any attachments including inspiration photos. These details note the final decision made between Boateng's Bakery and yourself.

If, for any reason, you do not agree to any of the details noted in the invoice prior to payment, you are welcome to decline the order by sending an email to info@boatengsbakery.com.

Orders cancelled after payment has been made are subjected to the terms below.

Your payment serves as a signature & agreement to these terms.

 

PRICES

The price list is based on simple designs. This price may increase depending on an extra design elements you may want to add to the order. Once we have finalised the designs, you will be provided with an invoice. The invoice will be valid for 24 hours. You can secure your date by paying the deposit to get booked in.

 

DEPOSIT

A 50% non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the invoice being sent in order to secure the order date. Orders will not be confirmed or added to Boateng's Bakery until the deposit is paid to allow all interested customers a chance to book. Your order will be cancelled & your date may become unavailable in the event your deposit is not received within 24 hours.

Orders that have been placed within 7 days of desired date will have to provide full payment once they have received the invoice.

Full payment required for any orders under £50.

 

PAYMENT

Final payment for your order is due no later than 72 hours before pickup or delivery and 7 days before for all large orders. Payment can be made by following the link on the invoice or by bank transfer. If full payment is not received by this time, we will not be able to proceed with the order and your deposit will not be refunded.

 

CANCELLATIONS

If you need to cancel, please notify Boateng's Bakery at least 7 days before the agreed date. We will honour your deposit or full payment as a desert credit up to 1 year. You are welcome to use your dessert credit for any order placed within 1 year of invoice sent. Rescheduling is subject to Boateng's Bakery calendar & availability.

If the cancellation occurs less than 7 days before the agreed date, Boateng’s Bakery reserves the right to retain your non-refundable deposit and you will not be able to use it for a new booking.

For circumstances beyond our control, such as illness etc. Boateng’s Bakery reserves the right to cancel any booking. Any payments taken will be refunded.

 

CARE

Boateng's Bakery will notify you of care instructions prior to or during pickup or delivery. You are responsible for providing a level surface and suitable environment for your desserts. We strongly advise against placing your desserts outdoors or in direct sunlight. Boateng's Bakery is not responsible for any damages to your order due to outside elements.

Your desserts will always be packaged appropriately and secure for travel. It is best to place your desserts on a flat surface such as the floor of the car or trunk. Your desserts should never be placed on the seat of the car.

Boateng's Bakery is not liable for any damage that may arise related to your desserts once your order has been picked up or delivered.

 

DESIGN CHANGES

It is your responsibility to thoroughly review all details of your order prior to payment. If requested, Boateng’s Bakery will try to amend the design after payment where possible. However, this may not be possible depending on the type of change or the notice given. If the change affects the cost, or we have already begun to prepare your order, a new invoice will be sent to you. If Boateng's Bakery is not notified of any changes to be made prior to submitting final payment, we will assume your agreement and move forward with fulfilling the order according to the invoice details.

If the circumstances requires it, I reserve the right to adapt the agreed design. Please remember that each dessert is handmade, therefore there may be some variation from the design agreed.

 

ALLERGENS

While extra care and safety are always adhered to when handling allergens, Boateng's Bakery cannot guarantee that all our free from allergens including eggs, milk, wheat, nuts, and soy. If any of your guests have allergies, it is your responsibility to notify them of the risk and of any possible allergens.

Silk florals, support dowels, & any other inedible decor products are to be removed from your order prior to consumption. You acknowledge that these are not food products and may be harmful if consumed.

 

COLLECTION

You will be provided with a collection time for your chosen date. Any orders not collected within the agreed time will be charged. Depending on my availability, a new time and date may be arranged.

postals

Please check for the next dispatch date before placing your order. Orders placed after the cutoff date will be dispatched on the following dispatch date. Your dispatch date will be on your confirmation email.

Payment is needed to confirm online orders and until payment is received your order cannot be guaranteed.​

REFUNDS

At this point in time, Boateng’s Bakery does not offer refunds or returns. Refunds, credit notes, or a replacement orders to the same value will be given only in the event that you receive the incorrect product, or if the products are shown to be of unsatisfactory quality. Should this be the case, or if you are in any way unsatisfied with the condition or quality of your postal desserts upon arrival, you must contact us within 24 hours of receipt. Boateng's Bakery will not accept liability for any complaints made after this time.

While we take great care to package our products securely for postal delivery, on rare occasions breakages and damages can occur in transit. This will not warrant a refund.

There are certain situations where partial refunds are granted. This will be at the discretion of Boateng's Bakery.

DELIVERY

We send our postal desserts across the UK via Royal Mail Tracked24 Delivery. Orders made on the website will be sent on dispatch days. Once your order is dispatched from our bakery, you will receive an email containing your Royal Mail tracking details.

 

Please note that we offer Royal Mail delivery guidelines based on their published recommendations. Tracked 24 aims for next day delivery but is not guaranteed. Therefore, we cannot accept liability for any delivery issues, including late deliveries, once the order has been dispatched from our kitchen. However, we will always do our very best to understand and resolve issues on your behalf.

 

Where delivery is requested, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure a complete and correct address is supplied, along with a correct phone number for contact. It is also the customer's responsibility that there is someone to accept the delivery at the address.

 

Please note that our postal desserts may not fit through the letterbox. We cannot accept responsibility for late or missing deliveries due to insufficient or incorrect information supplied, or because there is no one to accept delivery.
